Gateway International Raceway, St. Louis, Missouri
T he Gateway International Raceway is one of America’s premier
motorsports tracks, but over a decade ago this wasnt the case. It
all started on a 1/8 mile drag strip in 1967 and in 1971 it grew to
¼ mile track, and the Raceway began a series of renovations
and restructures that brought to where it is today. The new Gateway
Raceway opened with the Motorola 300 with a sold out crowd. Today
the Raceway holds a wide range of racing events to please every fan.
Events include; NASCAR Busch, Craftsman Trucks, ARCA, IRL, Champ Cars,
NHRA, Street Cars, Motorcycle Road Racing, SCCA Road Racing, Jr. Dragsters
and much more.
